The Museum’s director, Joe Sullivan, joined from The Natural History Museum, where he served as London partnerships manager. Previous to this he worked on the Centenary Project at the RAF Museum London along with several other engagements and learning roles at UK museums. He also currently chairs the London Museums Group.
Emma Stirling-Middleton has a wealth of recent experience, having worked on eighteen exhibition projects in collaboration with more than twenty cultural institutions across ten different countries over the past six years. Prior to joining The Cartoon Museum, she was project curator of China at the Science Museum.
Learning Officer / Comic Art Curator
Steve Marchant is the Cartoon Museum’s Learning Coordinator/Tutor and Comic Art Curator. As a cartoonist, he has worked for the BBC, British Airways, ITV, and numerous educational publications. He is also a qualified youth worker/tutor that teaches cartoon art classes in schools, libraries and universities in and around London.
The job may have changed, but in one way or another Kate has been at the Cartoon Museum since 2006. Before she joined Team CM she worked at Kenwood House and Westminster Abbey. Kate has over 15 years experience of working in the cultural sector and has a love of all things museum-y.
Marketing and Communications Officer
Eduardo studied for a Masters in Graphic Design at Barcelona’s “Llotja” Advance School of Art and Design, just like Picasso and previously Draftsmanship at university. He has extensive experience working for non-profit organisations and in the cultural sector in London and Barcelona. Specializing in branding, social media, and web design.
Holly joins us from the House of Illustration, where she spent six years as the Retail and Front of House Manager, prior to which she worked in retail capacities at the Roald Dahl Museum. She has an excellent track record in managing physical and online shops, delivering events, and working with artists.
